World Wide Wahoos - Invitation to Join!

The International Studies Office would like to extend an invitation to all members of UVa's international community to participate in World Wide Wahoos, our new global outreach program. Students, faculty, and staff from more than 120 countries provide global perspectives that enrich the life of our university. World Wide Wahoos will be dedicated to sharing this wealth of international experience with current and prospective students, and with the wider Charlottesville community. World Wide Wahoos will serve as a portal to the International Student Ambassadors, the International Speakers Bureau, the Global Student Council's international high school visitors program, the Education Abroad office's outreach initiatives, and the MiX mentoring program.

Would you be willing to serve in any one or more of the following capacities?

*Be a contact for prospective and current students and their parents looking to connect with someone from their home country.

*Be a volunteer speaker who could share some aspect of your culture with local schools and community groups.

*Be a volunteer who could help out during summer orientation for incoming international students.

*Be a volunteer interpreter for visiting scholars, international spouse/family orientations, schools, hospitals, etc.

*Be a contact for high schools looking for students who could give presentations about UVa to prospective applicants.

Please take a moment to fill out the attached questionnaire, indicating the ways in which you would be willing to help make this program a success.
