Updated message on H1N1 Influenza

The University of Virginia is monitoring the recent outbreak of H1N1 influenza in several regions of the world and parts of the U.S. The University’s administration is relying on information from the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Virginia Department of Health, and the Thomas Jefferson Health District to guide the University’s response to the pandemic.

At this time, the University is operating on a regular schedule, and there are no plans at this time to alter academic programming planned for the summer term, including U.Va. study abroad programs. Should this change, the U.Va. homepage will be updated, and students in the affected programs will be notified. For the most up-to-date information on the University’s response to the outbreak of swine flu, please visit the U.Va. homepage at www.virginia.edu
